CMS - How Background Assignment works

1 - To access Background Settings:

  • Open Settings → Photo Settings → AI backgrounds and select the camera’s aspect ratio.

2 - Backgrounds are matched by aspect ratio (Example below: Aspect is 4x3)

3 - Creating a Background

Click on the button at the bottom called "Add another AI Background"

This will open the Create Background page which has the following sections:

  1. Name of the Background

  2. Photographer: This assigns which Camera Profile you'd like to apply the Backgrounds to. If left Blank, it will apply to all active Photographers

  3. Upload Background Photo

  4. Upload Foreground Overlay (Extra details that goes on top of the Background)

  5. Upload Test Photo

  6. Shows Example Photo

4 - Selecting Active Backgrounds:

Once you have your Backgrounds created, you can simply tick the ones you want active. (As shown in the photo below)

Tips & Tricks

Make a background global (available to all devices)

  1. Open Settings → Photo Settings → AI backgrounds and select the camera’s aspect ratio.

  2. Edit the background → toggle Active = ON.

  3. Clear / unselect the Photographer field so it’s empty → Save.

  4. Take a quick test photo from the capture device and confirm it shows the background.

Make a background photographer-specific

  1. Open the same aspect and Edit the background.

  2. In Photographer, select the photographer you want → Save.

  3. Only photos taken with that photographer PIN will use this background.

Common mistakes

  • Wrong aspect ratio: backgrounds are stored per aspect — edit the aspect your camera actually uses.

  • Photographer unintentionally set: selecting a photographer makes a background invisible to other devices.

  • Too many active backgrounds: keep active backgrounds small (≈3–6) to avoid slow processing.
