Moving to the Capture App

Step-by-step explanation on how to update your Auto Capture App to the new Capture App.

Starting mid-May, the Auto Capture App will no longer be supported and will transition to the Capture App. Below, you’ll find a step-by-step guide to help you make this change smoothly:

  1. When opening the Auto Capture App, a pop-up will appear notifying you that an update is available

  2. Tap 'UPDATE NOW'

  3. It might be needed to allow GoPhoto Auto Capture App to install the update

  4. Android asks to install an update to the existing GoPhoto Auto Capture

  5. Tap 'INSTALL'

  6. Android confirms the GoPhoto Auto Capture update has been installed

  7. Return to the Auto Capture App

  8. The app now shows another pop-up for an update to version 2.0.0

  9. Tap 'UPDATE NOW'

  10. Android asks to install GoPhoto Capture as a new application

  11. Tap 'INSTALL'

  12. The new Capture App will not yet show on the homescreen of the tablet

  13. Swipe up from the homescreen to access all apps

  14. Tap and hold the Capture App

  15. Drag it to the homescreen

  16. Open the new Capture App

  17. A pop-up will appear stating there's still a legacy Auto Capture App on your device

  18. Click 'Continue'

  19. Android asks whether to uninstall GoPhoto Auto Capture App

  20. Tap 'OK'

  21. You are now ready to use your new Capture App

⚠️ Camera Connection Error ⚠️

After first time login to the new Capture App it might happen that your camera does not want to connect to the app. In case this happens, please unplug the cable from the camera and plug it back in.
