My camera doesn't connect to the Capture app

Step-by-step guide

Updated over a week ago

QUICK START GUIDE:

  1. Check internet connection

  2. Log out & into the app

  3. Restart the Capture tower

  4. Check cable

  5. Re-install the Capture-app

  6. Log in to the Capture-app

STEPS EXPLAINED:

Step 1. Check internet connection

When you don't have an internet connection you'll see a red WiFi icon showing in the app.

Step 2. Log out & log into the app.

Log out of the app and close it, then open it again and log into it once more.

If the steps above do not work:

Step 3. Restart the Capture Tower

Log out of the app and turn off the tower using the power switch at the bottom of the Tower. Turn it back on. Now log into the app again to see if the connection is there.

Step 4. Check cable

Check if the cable from your camera to the USB hub is connected properly.

To make sure it is, you can gently remove the cable from the side of the camera and reconnect it. Do the same with the other end of the cable.

If the steps above do not work:

Step 5. Re-install the Capture app
Start by deleting the Capture app. When the app is deleted, go to the installer on the tablet. Search for GoPhoto - Capture App and install it. Then start the app again.

Step 6. Log in to the Capture app
Now log into the Capture app. Since you re-installed the app you have to make sure NOT to 'pin' the app, so you can give your camera acces to the app.

Troubleshooting:

If you followed all the steps above but this doesn't work, the cable might be broken. Test with a new cable from the Spare Kit.
