Photos are too bright

Nobody wants overexposed photos, let's see how to solve that!

Updated over a week ago

QUICK START GUIDE:

  1. Check which flash is too bright.

  2. Adjust the too-bright flash.

  3. Contact us.

There are a few things that give away an overexposed photograph.

  1. Hard shadows behind people

  2. White coloured fabric is blindingly white

  3. Other colours are washed out

  4. Our backgrounds are not being processed correctly behind people because of colour or shadows.

STEPS EXPLAINED:

Step 1. Check which flash is too bright

If the shadows are above people, the lower flash is too bright.

If the shadows are lower than the people, the top flash is too bright.

Step 2. Adjust the too-bright flash

Adjust the flash with the knob on the back. This knob will change numbers on the screen ranging from 1/1 (brightest) to 1/32 (least bright), with decimals in between e.g. 1/16+5.

Turn the dial so that the number goes up, which will make the flash less bright.

Step 3. Contact us

Turning the knob until it's not too bright is a temporary solution. We have your optimal settings in our database. So ALWAYS contact us ASAP to set everything back the way it was.
